Happy Burfday to Ya'll !

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANAND & GRAHAM!!!!!! Yup, Anand's birthday was on Thursday and Graham's birthday is today! In honor of both of them, I'll go ahead an post some funny birthday videos and songs:

Video #1: Funny & cute, send this to your friends to make them feel special.

Video #2: Hilarious...especially when the girls in red do their cheerleader moves. Also wait for duder to say "Happy Burday too you....Happy Burday too you."

Video #3: Funny! But only send it to people that can take a joke!

Video #4: Compilation of funny birthday videos. Lighthearted and funny. Personally, I don't recommend sending it to anyone...I'm not big on stupid comedy.

Song #1: Short Happy Birthday Song.........Desified (Desi=Indian for those of you that don't know)

http://littlesamosa.googlepages.com/birthday2.mp3

Song #2: Longer Happy Birthday Song........Desified to the extreme (lol)

http://littlesamosa.googlepages.com/birthday1.mp3

Video #5: Okay, maybe this isn't a birthday song and really shouldn't be in this list...but it's HILARIOUS (especially the English subtitles). The song is called "Touch Me"...so you gotta watch...lol.

Btw...I'm going to the Flugtag competition today...kinda exciting!!!

Have a great day!

The Sick Post...

So yeah....I've already told half the world...so why not my dedicated blog readers (oh wait, cuz i've already told you over facebook or instant messaging...lol).....I'm not feeling well. I don't I'm actually sick, just a sore throat. I probably caught something at the saucer last night.....not good. Speaking of the saucer, I didn't even go there!

Instead, I went to the dry cleaners who messed up two of my really nice shirts. As far as I can tell there are burn marks on the collars...grrr you Dry Clean Super Center of Bartlett....grrr. So, I took the shirts back to them and waiting an enormous amount of time for the manager the guy was actually really nice about it. He claims that those aren't burn marks, but some chemical ("Oh sir, its only some deathly chemical that would have caused a slight rash and puss-filled sores all over your body, nothing to worry about. Have a good day.".....lol) Well, to give the manager credit...he's going to re-wash the shirt and if that doesn't work he'll pay me for the damages....thank god....otherwise i might have had to open a can of whoop-ass on him.

Well, I'm going to drug myself to sleep and hopefully feel better tomorrow morning. I HAVE to feel better by Friday b/c we're going to Nashville to see that Redbull competition called Flugtag....it looks like a lot of fun...check it out.

Gnite!

Bi the way...

Holy shit...another post...this quick....I'm amazing! (LOL...j/k)

So Monday nights are usually when I chill out at the apt, workout, etc...but this Monday night a friend of mine invited me to join her and her friends at the Flying Saucer for pint night. And you know I'm already an alchy...so I decided to go. (btw...I'm not really an alchy...I'm just trying to get my plate on the wall for all of eternity at the saucer...woo-hoo!) Anyway, got there around 6:45 and waited until 7:00...but there was no sign of her...so I figured she decided not to come or she went to the Saucer in Cordova (I go to the one in Downtown.), therefore I asked for my tab and was about to go, when I see showed up with some people (thank god...or else i might have had to leave her a nasty message on facebook >>> lol).
I went to college w/ this chick and I've always liked her b/c she was really smart, and she always did her own thing throughout life and didn't give a shit of what people thought! She would dye her hair funky colors, where all black, and at the same time be a really nice person. I hadn't seen her in over a year...but we got along really well tonight. Her friends were pretty cool also....one of them was kinda cute (but str8....darn!). SO, I decided to "come-out" to her and her response was, "I wondered how long it would take you." At this point my jaw dropped and she said, "I have really good gaydar." (We'll talk about my views on "gaydar" in another post.) Overall she was really cool about it! Now, one of the reasons I told her was b/c everybody kinda knew she was bi, but she never came out and explicitly told anyone. Well, after I told her she started talking about someone she liked name Corey. So, I naturally asked her..."What does he do?"....she responed...."Do you mean what does she do?" and she grinned. So I asked her if she was gay and she responded, "Sometimes"....so I said, "Oh, are you Bi" and she responded "Sometimes" again.....lol. I'm kind of glad I told her, b/c she asked me to go to gay bars/clubs w/ her....so yaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Now, I really liked her and her friends, but the only thing that bothered me the whole night was all of them smoking! I can't stand smoke at all, but nevertheless I put up with it for the night. Moreover, apparently they're all potheads (including her), so I don't know how I would personally gel with them. Now, don't get me wrong....I live by the philosophy "to each his own" but that doesn't mean I have to hang out with them. Apparently, they go to the saucer every monday night and asked me to join them, but I think I might have to pass....and its purely due to smoke.... :-(

Well, gnite all.....thanks for the replies, I love reading them.

This Weekend: * * * * *

I'm trying to get better at this game (blogging)...its only been 5 days since my last post....woo-hoo!! :-p LOL!
Let me start off by saying that this was a great weekend! First of all, my sister came into town and it's always fun hanging out with her. I'm really thankful to have such a great relationship with her....and you know what, I think me coming out to her has only strengthened that connection between us.

Well, seeing that she was in town I decided to take her to the Memphis Roller Derby where I was meeting a co-worker of mine. Most you probably don't know what the hell the MRD is, so here's a quick description: bunch of women pushing, shoving, and hitting each other on roller skates with funky names (s.a. Rollanye Asse and Bloody Elle) all in an effort to gain the most amount of points. All in all I had an awesome time! Now, I'm not sure if that was the margarita's & beer I had...but nevertheless...an awesome time! If you want to learn more about the MRD check out this YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWoeycw_zUw

On to Sunday....Father's Day. My sister went back to school early in the morning, but right before leaving we booked tickets to -------------------->>>>>> CALIFORNIA!! Some of you might already know, but I was brought up in Cali and I still have some relatives there, whom I haven't seen in years! So, my sister and I decided to go this summer and hang out with family and friends. We're gone from July 11-16....I need to have some type of countdown on this blog...lol. Once we get to Cali we're planning on maybe going to Disney, but that's still iffy (b/c they're soooo much other things I could do...and the fact that I've already been as a kid). THEN on Friday we leave for VEGAS, and we'll be there from Friday to Sunday (I can't for Vegas!)

So aside from planning my little trip (yes, I know that is an understatement), I had two other exciting things happen. First, we celebrated my father's day at the house...I couldn't take him out to eat b/c my mom had invited someone over for dinner (grrrrr....you uncle!), but it was fun just hanging out with him. Secondly, I finally picked up the phone and I believe (hope) made a new friend. (We'll talk about my reservations to call people in another post!) I had sooooo much fun talking to this guy that I think we talked for over an hour....I just hope I didn't bore him with my crazy talk...yes, some of you that know me really well know that I just go on and on and on about random shit. (Btw...I know he's reading this blog....so let me take a minute and just say "Thanks!" b/c it was refreshing and enjoyable to talk to you!)

Well, I should go to be bed, b/c I'm trying to get into work by 7:00 so I can start accruing comp-time, so I don't have to use as much vacation for the trip to Cali. :D Gnite!

Do you have Pride?

Once again, I'm going to apologize to my 2 readers for my overdue update....I'm really sorry. I could blame it on work, me trying to exercise/play tennis, or all the IEEE stuff I've been doing, but there's no excuse...if anything I could do a on-liner like Graham does sometimes.

I guess I'll start off with a recap of this last weekend:

Friday:

Watched Ocean's 13 and I really liked it! Ocean's 11 was also really good, but 12...ehhhh, I think they tried too hard on that one. I ended up winning an Ocean's 13 poster for answering some dumb question, but I decided to give it to the little kid sitting in front of me....he would probably appreciate it more than me. Plus, he didn't yell, kick, scream, or talk during the movie...now why can't more kids be as disciplined! BEAT YOUR KIDS!!! (Okay, now i don't mean bruise the hell out of them, but a slap every now and then ain't gonna hurt.)

Saturday:

I met up with some friends from high school, whom I hadn't seen SINCE high school. Apparently this guy I knew in HS (and I wasn't very fond of) got a job back in Memphis as a producer for a local news station. Well, another girl from hs (who is awesome!) decided to have a "Welcome Back" party and invited about 50 people (according to the stalker network...oh, I mean Facebook). Well, only three of us showed up....yup, the guy, the chick, and me....FUN TIMES (pure sarcasm)! I tried talking to him, but he was same jack-ass I knew in high school so I gave up and continued drinking my beers. Then we decided to invite some of our friends....I called up two guys and mr. producer called up two of his friends. Now, his friends ended up being pretty cool....in fact, one of them was meteorologist for a local news station and the other guy is a program director for a radio station...kinda cool. At this point I had downed about 6 or 7 beers so I was feeling it! My friends decided to leave (jackasses!), so the us remaining 5 people decided to go a new bar/club. We ended up cutting in front of a huge ass line and not paying cover b/c mr. meteorologist told the doorman that we had a the producer of channel 5 news us...dum da da dum (who the hell cares...honestly!?), well apparently this guy did...so we got it (not gonna complain). We got in there and had another beer and then the chick and I decided to call it a night (oh lord...I'm getting old!).

Sunday:

I forgot to mention, but the Pride Parade was on Saturday, but I decided not go b/c I suck. Yes, I probably should have gone, but I was too afraid of being on TV or sosmeone else (from work) seeing me there. Yeah, I know a lot of people go there to support the GLBT community, but come on.....I don't have a g/f (the constantly ask me about that at work), i'm pretty liberal in my views, and i look good when i come to work (not trying to be cocky or anything...but most of the people don't even try to look nice where i work...).

Because I missed out on that, I was determined to go to the Pride Picnic on Sunday. Well, I called up some people and two my straight friends decided to come with (they're awesome!), well we decided to meet up for lunch at this great breakfast place, and then go. Well, after eating breakfast, I didn't bring up the picnic at all....I started feeling bad for taking my str8 friends there.....I didn't want them to feel uncomfortable. Therefore I decided not to go. Instead we decided to run some errands and once we were done I was dropping on the guys off at his car and he turned to me and said, "aren't we supposed to go the pride picnic?"....I said, "No, it's okay...don't worry about it." To which he responded, "hell no, i drove all this way to go to pride picnic, and we're going!" :) He called out to the other and he jumped back in the car and said, "lets go!" Well, we called girl-friend of ours and headed to the park. So this thing was from 1pm - 5pm, and we got there around 3:45pm...and it was completely dead. I guess they were packing up by this time.....I dunno? Anyway, we ended up driving past it.....I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Other news:

I'm accepting applications for new gay friends in memphis. Now don't get me wrong...I have some awesome friends, but I also need gay friends who can understand me on a different level. Who don't have to feel afraid of saying the "wrong" thing around me (as some have mentioned). I just need someone to talk to....you know, and maybe hang out w/ at a gay bar (how else am i going to find mr. right!?).

Enough blabbering for one night. I will def. try to do a better job of updating.

A Short Overdue Update

Wow, its been a long time since I've added a post. Hmmm, where shall I begin?

I guess I'll start with today.....so, I went to the Memphis Zoo with my mom and it was awesome! I hadn't been to that place in years so we decided to check it out, especially since they now have the Panda's from China - LeLe & YaYa. I have a small slide show running on the right side of this page, but here is the link to the entire album if you're interested.

The best part about the zoo was at the Mountain Lion's cage. Apparently a possum got stuck on the top of the cage, so the zookeepers tried helping it out. However, the Mountain Lion's were ready to pounce on the poor guy...it was morning time and they were probably hungry! Of course I was there to take video....so check it out below (it gets really good 1 minute into it):

In other news, my sister went back to school to do some research over the summer and shadow a Pyschologist (yup, she was the smart one in the family), and another friend of mine went to Case Western to pursue an Engineering Management degree (yeah...she's smart also). I want to wish both of them the best of luck and always remember to live life to the fullest wherever you are! {Yeah, I know that sounded "gay"...but whatdya gonna do...lol.}

I have some other stuff that I need to talk about, but we'll save that for another time as its close to 11:00pm already and I need to wake up at 6:00am.

Gnite!

I'm Slacking...

Yeah, I know, I'm slacking on the posts....but that's good thing, because I tend to write when I'm mad, frustrated, or simply bothered by something...like they say, "no news is good news" ("they" meaning my dad who always said that when we checked the mailbox and there was no mail in it...lol).

So, I've started playing Tennis again, and I'm loving it! [Why did I stop!?] So, I asked my dad to play last Saturday for the first time in over 2 years and I sucked at the game! {Btw....my dad is awesome at it...he plays almost everyday!} Nevertheless, my he gave me some great pointers and I think I'm finally getting better {meaning I can hit the ball over the net...lol}. Also, I'm trying to keep up w/ the whole exercise/workout thing...it's going pretty good (for now).

In other news...Memphis is having its first-ever Zombie March! Yup...it sounds kind of weird, which it is, not gonna lie, but it should be a lot of fun! Basically, you dress-up as a Zombie and pretend be one of the dead, as you march down Beale street. You can either come dressed-up, get zombified at the location (by professional make-up artists), or come in old clothes with duct tape on you, giving the zombies the green light to attack (rip your clothes and throw pour fake blood on you) you during the march, and once you are atttacked you join the march.

They have done this in other cities such as Boston, Iowa, and San Francisco. I'll try taking video of my own and posting it here this weekend. :) Check out the blog and MySpace for more info.

Oh wow....its 12:00am....and I need to up at 6:30am...fun times. Hopefully the coffee gods will help me stay awake at work. LOL. Gnite!
